Designed to cater to Dubai residents and tourists year-round, the Aces’ team set out on a mission to create a destination that guaranteed to cure even the severest of wanderlust cases. Focused around the principles of escapism and accessibility, it was time to kiss the overpriced and the ordinary goodbye, and dream up a travel-inspired experience like no other in the city.
Koko Bay’s dreamy Palm Jumeirah location was the focal point of the design and the inspiration was the magical island of Bali. So how did Aces of Space create an authentic Balinese beachfront venue in Dubai you ask? Well, they travelled to Bali, of course!
The venue has been divided into three main areas that flow seamlessly from indoors to outdoors with fully retractable, floor-to-ceiling windows across all three sides ensuring that each meal is served with a side of vitamin sea.
To maintain the eclectic, bohemian appeal of Bali’s world-famous beach culture, Aces’ sought out the island’s most creative local talents to source artisanal materials and create custom furniture. Natural woods, undyed linens and crochet accentuated by lush greenery and aqua blue; Koko Bay’s breezy colour palette and branding elements ooze Balinese beach vibes. From the rustic hand sketched logo to its icons – the tropical palm and the beloved sea turtle – one thing is clear at Koko Bay; it’s time to slow down and smell the ocean.
From crochet hammocks and teakwood cabanas to laid-back loungers and easy bean bags; Koko Bay’s terrace and beach area is a haven for sun worshippers and beach nomads seeking out good food and tan lines. With awe-inspiring views of the Dubai skyline and the Arabian Sea, sundowners here are a no-brainer.
Inside, guests can choose between the intimate lounge area or the main dining and bar area. For cocktail catchups and dinner dates, choose a nook within the lounge area and let the good vibes happen with the tides. Discerning diners chasing the crowds, the main lounge and bar area is where you will find all the action. The open, multi-level space features views across the restaurant and into the live grilling station – ideal for group dinners and celebrations.
