My Dogtel

THE CHALLENGE
My Dogtel wanted to offer more than premium pet services. The goal was to create a place where dogs could feel free, calm, and safe, while owners felt equally welcomed and reassured.  

The challenge was to balance grooming expertise with genuine care. It needed to support dogs as they move, explore, and settle, and give owners a clear sense of trust from the very first step inside. 

THE CONCEPT
The concept is rooted in holistic pet wellness, built around what dogs need physically and emotionally, and what helps owners feel confident and connected.
 
The experience begins in a bright, welcoming entrance that sets the tone for ease.  

Grooming suites take cues from wellness spaces, focusing on calm, gentle lighting and a steady environment that helps reduce stress. Every element is designed to make the process smoother for dogs and easier for humans.

Then comes the Play Café, the social heart of My Dogtel. More than a café, it is a place where owners can unwind or work while their dogs play nearby. It creates natural moments of connection between pets and people, turning simple visits into shared experiences. 

THE DESIGN
Designing for dogs means designing for their senses: movement, space, scent, routine, and sound.  

The layout prioritises open space so dogs can roam freely without feeling confined. Clear sightlines help both staff and owners keep an eye on their pets, creating a sense of safety throughout the day.  

Acoustic treatments help soften sound, especially useful for nervous pups. Lighting is gentle and consistent, supporting a calm environment without overwhelming stimulation.  

The grooming area is quiet and private, offering a peaceful retreat. The café, in contrast, is energetic and open, with flexible seating and immediate access to play zones. Owners can settle in, and dogs can explore without stress.  

Every design choice supports wellbeing; dogs feel confident to move, play, and rest, while owners feel part of a community that understands their needs.
